STRONG

A cold breeze envelopes your face as you inch your way down the street with your new bike free of training wheels. Suddenly, you hear someone behind you: "Hey, look! It's Michael Jackson!" You ignore the comment and continue to zip down the street. A little boy calls out: "Mommy, why does that person have skin colored like a cow?" The voices start eating you up. You were just trying to ride your new bike. You can do this. You have vitiligo and you are brave. Do not be afraid to be yourself in a world that tries to make you like everyone else. At some point, the training wheels have to come off. You have to go out into the world and face some people who will tear you down. But what do you do? You climb higher to focus and reach your goals. Forgive, but do not forget. Experiences will build your personality. You are strong.
