CHOCOLATE OR VANILLA?


 

You walk into an ice cream shop and notice that there are only two flavors: chocolate and vanilla. You are confused because your typical favorites aren't available. You ask the server why there is no Rocky Road, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, or even Strawberry. The server smiles and says those flavors are no longer made. How can they no longer be made? This is how it often feels to be diagnosed with vitiligo. You didn't ask for this, but the choice was made for you. You may never get all of your color back. There are 2 flavors: one is vitiligo and one is happiness. How do you choose? The server then turns to you and says you can have 2 scoops - one of each. It's your choice to be happy and accept yourself. Why choose only one flavor when you can choose both - having vitiligo and being happy.
